    Our entire family have been loyal customers of the family that own the restaurant. Over the years we have probably spent thousands on eat-in as well as take out food at least 1-2 times a week. Sometimes more often than that. On valentine's day 2007, I arrived at 530pm for dinner, to meet a friend. My friend was not there. I waited about 20 minutes at the bar watching the owner make a variety of sushi dishes. I then asked to use the phone and was told very rudely... that the phone was busy. I went to my car and got my cell phone, called from the Sushi bar and made my call right in front of the owner. He listened to my conversation and asked when my friend would arrive. I answered in less than 5 minutes. Several people had come in after me and had been seated, while I sat on a stool at the bar. A booth became available and I asked the daughter of the owner if my friend and I could sit in the booth, since I had waited the longest and all the other patrons were seated at tables already. The daughter was about to seat me, when the father (the owner who'd heard me on the telephone) interrupted her and said something to the daughter in Korean. The daughter immediately went to a couple who had already been seated at a table and asked them if they would like to sit in the booth I had just requested. I explained to the owner that I had waited the longest of anyone, I had arrived first and I had specifically requested the booth. I left in protest and have not returned until very recently. The food has always been good and the owners were always very friendly until this incident. In fact, we were so friendly with them, that I had taken photos of his daughter and had an 8" x 11" colour print made and gave it to the daughter. We appreciate the hard work of waiting on tables and have always been generous tippers. I guess some people just don't appreciate good customers until they are gone. To be fair and objective, the food has always been good. The service is inconsistent from excellent to poor. I was quite humiliated by the behaviour of the owner on Valentine's Day and neede to share the experience and voice my concerns.
